Something is Missing...

...can you tell what it is that is missing?

YUP! She is an OFFICIAL Bike Rider! Memorial Day, we decided it was finally time to teach Brynlee to ride her bike without her training wheels. It took less than 5 minutes for her to have it down. WAY TO GO BRYN!!!

He's 2...

...and I can't believe it! Gavin turned 2 on Sunday. We had a wonderful Memorial weekend celebrating our favorite little guy!

Some of Gavin's favorite things right now:
Movies: "Ponna"(Kung Fu Panda), "Chowrs"(Cars), and "Bote"(Bolt).
Food: "Teetoos" (cheetos), "cawcheez" (cottage cheese), "muck" (milk), and "I ceeem" (ice cream).
Songs: The Wheels on the Bus, Old McDonald had a farm, and I am a Child of God.
Animals: Dogs, Ducks, and Chickens (he is the best one at catching the chickens)!
Color: Green.
Things: His blanket (he shares lots of things, but he will NOT share his blanket with anyone!), his binky, and his "bobble" (sippy cup).
Some of Mom's favorite things about Gavin:
1. His facial expressions, especially his eyebrows!
2. He runs to me and wraps his arms completely around my neck, and stays for a long time.
3. When I hold him and he hears music, he shakes his little mid-section, I can't describe it, but I hope I never forget it, it is SOO cute!
4. He LOVES nap time, when he is tired he comes and grabs my finger and pulls me up to his room so I can put him in bed. (He still takes a good 3 hour nap).
5. He is so good in the car (seriously, not a peep on a 12 hour trip)!
*This kid can also throw a tantrum like NO OTHER, he is very determined once his mind is made up, but remember we are focusing on Favorite things! :)

Gavin's Birthday-night we pulled our trailer to our backyard, and had a little "stay-cation!"
We played Buckaroo, had some laughs, slept really well, and really enjoyed Daddy's pancakes and eggs in the morning! (Pancakes are always best when you are camping...even if it is in your backyard!) We had so much fun that we did it the next night as well! I think we will make a tradition of it on Gavin's Birthday.

I shouldn't have been so surprised...

...afterall, it IS in her genes! Brian's parents (and many family members, not including Brian) have been doing musical theater for 20+ years! However, Brynlee has always been a little soft-spoken. Her teachers have all described her as "Quiet, yet Confident." I knew she would do a great job in her kindergarten play last night, but she surprised me a little when there was no "quiet" about it...only CONFIDENCE!

Brynlee played the part of a Fairy in the play Giant John. She has been practicing her lines (3 lines) for weeks. She was so excited about it that she counted down the days until she was able to perform last night. We really enjoyed watching her and we are SO PROUD of her!

I had a great time creating her costume, she had a great time wearing it!

I have been trying all day to upload the video of her play to blogger, no luck. If anyone is interested in seeing it...you can click here.
Here is another video from last night of her class singing the song "Read me a Memory" by Jay Richards. This was the first time I had heard it, it is my new favorite song. I bawled as I listened to the lyrics and watched my sweet girl sing her little heart out.

PROUD Momma!!!

Check back soon and you'll see why!
